How to Adjust General Settings in Astropad Studio
Astropad Studio offers quick adjustments to help improve visual performance or quality depending on your workflow. You can access these settings by tapping the triple-line menu in the upper-right corner of the iPad app and selecting General Settings.
Display Brightness
Use the slider at the top of the General Settings panel to adjust the brightness of your display within the Astropad app. This does not change your system-wide brightness settings on the iPad or Mac, but it can help reduce eye strain or improve visibility in different lighting environments.
Display Resolution
You can switch between two resolution options:
Retina (default): Higher image quality, best for detail-oriented work.
Non-Retina (faster): Lower resolution, ideal for improving responsiveness on slower or busy networks.
Color Calibration
Choose how Astropad handles color:
ColorSync (default): Enables macOS ColorSync for accurate color rendering.
None (faster): Disables color calibration for faster performance.
Reset to Defaults
If you need to start over, tap Reset to defaults at the bottom of the settings panel to restore all options to their original configuration.
If you're noticing lag or pixelation, try switching to Non-Retina resolution or disabling ColorSync for better performance. You can always toggle these back on when you're working on color-critical tasks.
