Keyboard and Mouse Troubleshooting - Luna Display
If your keyboard and mouse aren't responding correctly, or are not responding at all, a few settings on your iPad or Mac might be interfering.
Disable Full Keyboard Access
Full Keyboard Access lets you control your Mac or iPad with key commands, but it can block input in Luna Display or Astropad Studio.
On Mac:
- Open System Settings (or System Preferences).
- Click Accessibility in the sidebar.
- Select Keyboard.
- Choose Full Keyboard Access.
- Toggle the switch to Off.
On iPad:
- Open Settings on your iPad.
- Tap Accessibility > Keyboards.
- Toggle Full Keyboard Access off.
This should restore normal keyboard input.
Disable Universal Control
Universal Control can cause interference with input devices when using Luna Display or Astropad Studio.
On Mac:
- Go to System Settings (or System Preferences).
- Select Displays.
- Click Advanced or Universal Control in the lower right corner.
- Toggle off all Universal Control options:
- "Allow your pointer and keyboard to move between any nearby Mac or iPad"
- "Push through the edge of a display to connect a nearby Mac or iPad"
- "Automatically reconnect to any nearby Mac or iPad"
On iPad:
- Open Settings.
- Go to General > AirPlay & Handoff.
- Turn off Cursor and Keyboard.
After disabling these settings, your keyboard should behave as expected when using Luna Display or Astropad Studio.
