[iPhone] How to pair the Bookcase NFC to your iPhone

To set up Bookcase reading shortcuts, you'll first need to pair the Bookcase NFC to your iPhone using the Shortcuts app:

1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.

2. Tap Automation in the bottom menu of the Shortcuts app, then tap New Automation.

3. Under Personal Automation, select NFC.

On the When screen that comes up next, select whether you would like your app or website to open immediately or after a confirmation prompt. For the most seamless experience, we recommend selecting "Run Immediately" so that your reading material is pulled up as soon as your phone is in Bookcase with no extra prompting needed.

"Run After Confirmation" is useful if you are multi-tasking while using Bookcase and need to switch between apps consistently.

4. Tap Scan next to NFC Tag.

5. Hold your phone close to the Bookcase NFC chip if it is not already sitting in Bookcase. The NFC chip will be labeled on the inside of Bookcase above the MagSafe circle.

6. Name the NFC Tag Bookcase, tap OK, then tap Next.
