NFC allows your phone to communicate with Bookcase, triggering the exact app or settings you've chosen through the companion app—whether it’s launching your favorite reading app or toggling on Do Not Disturb. Ensure NFC is enabled on your device, place your phone into Bookcase, and your customized settings will activate automatically

How to Check if Your Phone Has NFC

If you’re unsure whether your phone has NFC capabilities, here are some quick ways to check:

Settings Search: Open Settings and type “NFC” in the search bar. If it appears in the results, your phone is NFC-compatible.
Phone Specifications: Check your phone’s specifications on the manufacturer’s website to see if NFC is listed as a supported feature.

Does My Google Android Phone Have NFC?

To check if your Google Pixel phone supports NFC:

Open Settings on your phone.
In the search bar, type NFC.
If you see an NFC option in the search results, your phone supports NFC. Tap to turn it on.

Once NFC is enabled, your phone can interact with Bookcase. You can manage NFC settings by going to Connected devices > Connection preferences > NFC. If you don’t see the NFC option, your phone may not have NFC capabilities.

Does My Samsung Android Phone Have NFC?

If you’re using a Samsung Android phone, follow these steps to check if NFC is available and enable it:

Open Settings.
Go to Connections.
Tap on NFC and contactless payments, and toggle it On.

With NFC enabled, your Samsung phone is ready to interact with Bookcase. If you don’t see NFC as an option, your device may not be compatible.

Does My Apple iPhone Have NFC?

Most iPhones, starting with the iPhone 7, are equipped with NFC capabilities. However, Apple limits NFC functions in some older models. To use Bookcase with your iPhone:

Check Compatibility: NFC is automatically enabled on supported iPhones. iPhones running iOS 13 and later can use NFC for various interactions and will support Bookcase.
Using Bookcase: Hold your iPhone on the Bookcase NFC reader to trigger the selected function. There is no need to manually enable NFC on these devices.

If you’re using an iPhone model older than iPhone 7, it may not support NFC, as older models do not include NFC capabilities required by Bookcase.
