Computer-to-Mac — Retina
Luna Display now supports 4K and 5K on secondary iMacs when using a USB-C Luna unit.
The maximum resolution is dependent on your computer model and will be set automatically to the best option for your devices. You can also manually adjust this in Luna Display's Preferences.
PC
Options:
- Resolution of 5K at a refresh rate of 30Hz or
- Resolution of 4K at a refresh rate of 60Hz
Mac
Options:
- Resolution of 5K at a refresh rate of 45Hz (macOS Big Sur required) or
- Resolution of 5K at a refresh rate of 30hz (macOS Big Sur required) or
- Resolution of 4K at a refresh rate of 60Hz
Manual Adjustment
You can change the Max Resolution from Automatic to 4K or 5K.
You can also change the Max Refresh Rate from Automatic to allow for 30Hz, 45Hz, or 60Hz.
For Computer-to-iPad Mode you can also set your refresh rate differently if your computer cannot run your iPad in Retina at a higher resolution or refresh rate.
If you notice blurriness on your secondary device and your primary computer can support it, we recommend ensuring that you have retina mode enabled!
