Retina in Computer-to-Mac Mode

Luna currently supports secondary iMacs as non-retina displays and is not currently able to support resolutions 4K and higher.

If a retina iMac is the secondary Mac (the one being used as a display), the iMac will display in a non-retina resolution. The maximum possible resolution will depend on the retina model. If a retina iMac is the primary Mac (the host Mac), then the iMac will display in its full retina resolution.

Other secondary Macs, like a Macbook Air and a Macbook Pro, are not affected by this and will still display in their native resolutions, including retina if supported by the Macbook model.

We will support 4K and 5K resolutions in a future update very soon! Sign up for our newsletter to receive the latest updates.
